What is a Tax Nomad?

The  international  tax  landscape  has  changed substantiallyin  recent  years. Companies  and individualsbut  also  tax  authoritieshave  started  thinking  more  international  and  global. Whether we like it or not, it's a fact.

We are convinced that there is only one way to escape this tax madness:pack your bags and go!  Forget  the  deep-rooted  mentality  to  stay  around  the  area  you  grew up  in;  it's  merely necessary for pure self-preservation! There is no room anymore for half-baked solutions.

This is Mauro Culotta, General ManagerTaxNomadism.

Why leaving?  Taxation  is not  the  only driver,  Crime,  terrorism,  labor  costs,  regulation  and bureaucracy, safety, pollution, level of education, traffic woes, environment, inheritance, are also impacting us in choosing to go and where to go.

Then,  the  question  is  where  you  would  need  to  relocate?  Where  could  you  go,  and  which destinations are consistent with your goals? We will pay attention to both your situation and desires, as well as your professional situation.

At  first  sight,  it  seems  straightforward:  gone  is  gone.  But  that's  not  how  the  tax authorities think  about  it.  In  this  book,  we  will  talk  about  what  it  means  to  be  gone  from  the  tax authorities' point of view.

We  will  also  discuss  what  could  happen  when you  only  have  one  boot  on  the  ground  in another country.

Times have changed and banking secrecy is almost a thing of the past. Gone are the days when you  could  establish  a  parallel  circuit  of  revenues  (your  nest  egg)  outside  your  country  of residence by using a letterbox company in a tax paradise and an associated bank account in a country with banking secrecy. Gone are the days when you could shift massive profits to one of  your  other,  lower-taxed  companies  abroad  without  having  to  explain  yourself  (well-devised, market-based transfer prices are the norm).

This channel and all we do is built around one essential fact: moving is the only way to avoid costly  and  time-consuming  discussions  and  to  still  benefit  from  acceptable  tax  rates  in  the future!

Our tip is simple:  effectively  moving  is the  key  to  financial  and  personal  freedom,  and  by following us, you will learn more about where, how and when.

I’m Mauro Culotta and we are TaxNomadism.
